The order
Around 2011, on a family vacation, Douglas and Draper Mauldin spotted a bee farm in the hills of Arkansas, stopped the truck, made friends with the beekeeper and bought a dozen hives. Today Honey Heads tends 150 to 200 hives across Tennessee and Mississippi, and it needed a brand as loud as the family behind it.

In the oven
Their story became the brand: musicians who fell into beekeeping, mentored by Ibrahim, a beekeeper from Jordan they met selling honey on Nashville street corners. We sketched a “rock on” hand dripping with honey, refined it into a badge with the “raised by musicians” tagline, and carried it onto bottle labels, stickers, posters and social graphics. Then we shot the products and the concerts.

Delivered
Honey that looks like band merch. The brand runs from the jar to the stage, and the new website ties it together with the shop, a hive gallery and the family's story. We're still extremely excited about how it turned out.
